From time to time I need to spend a bit of time practicing different aspects of lighting. As anyone who has taken photos at night before will know, orange streetlights are a big problem to overcome…
I chose my own car to practice with, a 2002 RenaultSport Clio 172. The dark colour also made it a nice challenge at night.
As with most of my day shots now, all images are made up of multiple exposures, one for the background and many for the car with different lighting angles. I used one soft box with a constant source of light.
I’ve put together this image to give an idea of what goes into editing such a photo.
